Maleficent is one of my favourite Disney live-action films, and I truly believe that it’s because I absolutely love the look of some of the costumes. Maleficent’s costumes are stunning in my opinion from the first film, and Aurora has better outfits in the second. Anyway, the brown dress Maleficent wears when her wings are taken is a costume that lives rent free in my mind. I had been wanting to make this costume for forever.

I didn’t document the making of this costume too much as I just wanted to have a bit of fun and work on it without the pressure of having to take photos and videos. The construction process is documented a bit on stories on Instagram, but I also have included a few WIP photos below that I forgot to post to Insta. Enjoy!
