Queen Guinevere from the BBC television series Merlin (2008 – 2012) took approximately 3 months to make (January – April 2019). The primary fabric is an imitation velvet and a built-in corset made from cotton drill was sewn into the dress to ensure a smooth fit over the torso. The bertha off-the-shoulder part has EVA foam sewn in it to give it a structured shape. The leaf and floral detailing was entirely hand-sewn to the main dress. The tiara was handmade by braiding copper wire together and ribbon to secure it in the back.
